Mt Shasta and Multnomah Falls, OR

Here are some pictures from our road trip north for the Westermeyer/Thorp wedding.  We stopped to see the Guthrie's in Mt. Shasta on the way up.

Sabbath Morning at Death Valley

Barry and I rose early and had worship on a bluff overlooking our campsite.  The morning light set off the distant mountains in such a tranquil way.

Sleepy bunnies :)

Spring green in the desert!

After everyone awoke and a grand breakfast was had by all (our meals were spectacular!), we headed to Badwater basin, the lowest point in the U.S.

Wakesurfing on Hayden Lake

After leaving the Ellers, Barry and I met up with the rest of my immediate and extended family in Northern Idaho, the home of my youth.  It was good to be home, surrounded by evergreen mountains, rushing rivers, clearwater lakes, and the familiar memories of old.  I didn't take very many pictures except when wakesurfing with the cousins.  Here are a few takes.

Here's my cousin Andy, the pro.

Barry gives it a whirl.

In handsome relief :)

The release...

Joel caught on ultra quick.

He even had time to smile!

What can I say?  I'm goofy, not regular!

The Eller's Blueberry Patch

Continuing on our extremely tardy recap of our trip to the Northwest this past summer (view part 1 and part 2), up next is the Eller home!  We returned from our epic glacier hike (recounted in part 2), found the nearest pizza place, consumed a lot of pizza, and then drove to the Ellers, about 2 hours away.

The next day we enjoyed the Eller's warm hospitality and spent some time in the blueberry patch, scouring for a few ripe blueberries.  While they might not be as tasty, I think the not-quite-ripe ones are just as pretty :)

Barry and I thoroughly enjoyed our drive through Western Montana.  It was just as beautiful as I remembered, and Barry decided he liked it quite a bit as well.

Drive by beauty :)
