Sssssseating Auditions (Part 2)

So, many of you might be wondering how those "Ssssscary Sssseating Auditions" went. Well, I'm kinda in the back of the orchestra. And yes, 3 of the 4 new cellists (Cello's are taking over!!!) were placed in front of me, which is most definitely understandable since I haven't been able to take cello lessons for the last 3 years. (Note: My tone of voice is more amused than defeated)

But God worked it out, because my stand partner is great! I've been wanting to get to know Allie's younger sister, Allana, ever since I first met her last year. So I was greatly excited to see that she's my stand partner!!! So we're having lots of fun and I'm very glad that I was placed with her. So that's the happy ending to my Ssssscary Ssssstory! (lol)

While it may look like she's sitting in front of a Bass, she's not. It's just the angle that I took the picture. She is definitely playing a CELLO!

Awww, so fun! I wish I could hear all your orchestra programs again! Tell Allana hi for me, I'm sure you guys will have a blast. God bless!

The back is always less prestigious than the front, which is why it is always more fun. I know from complete aquaintaince with both extremes. What is it about the back? Even the back of a bus has its own unique feeling of renegade comraderie.

You shed an intriguing light on the subject, Barry. I'll just think of it like I'm in the back of the bus. Wow, that brightened my outlook considerably.

*walks of singing "The wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round, the wheels on the bus go...."

Barry's right...the back is more fun. Plus you cellists are fortunate - you get to watch the Dance of the Percussionists!

I can see why you called it a ssscary ssstory Christy! I was pretty scared too when I saw that picture you took...thats almost as scary as the one of Mrs. Minner ;)

I've got considerable experience with the back of sections so I feel right at home. Anyway if we were right up front we'd have to act like we were actually concentrating...

I'm just kidding about that...of course we're concentrating!!!

Goodness Allana! It's not a bad picture! I think it's quite cute!

Have the pleasure of not doing seating auditions - I naturally was placed in the very back.
I'd forgotten how terribly distracting it is! I'm scatterbrained enough when there are just a few people in front of me. But it is lot's of fun! And Sarah does a very good job of counting though - for which I'm grateful ;)
