Allana's Dream House

Allana doesn't have a blog - she says that she doesn't need one but I have found that to be false because frequently she has awesome things to say or pictures to post, but no venue in which to do it. We've talked about making her one, but just haven't gotten around to it. And so, here I am, posting a blog for Allana, since she doesn't have a blog of her own! So, dear readers, if you would like Allana to get a blog and would like to hear what she has to say about life, please leave a comment expressing this desire. Maybe we can convince her yet! (P.S. The writing is all my own. She had nothing to do with it and probably isn't too happy about it either!)

(By the way, I find this picture quite enchanting as well, that's the only reason I consented to have it posted on my blog!)

Very beautiful! as well as being easier to heat and cool, and cheaper to build (thus more money stays in your pocket). I have seen variations where people grow flowers or vegetables on their roofs as well (or park their cars there but that isn't as esthetically pleasing). If this is the sort of thing Allana is going to post on her new blog I might even need to stop by to view it once in a while although I hardly know her.

That is a cool house! and yes, Allana, you should start a blog. :)

Very cool. I wonder if they aren't quite dark inside though...

I agree! Allana, it WOULD be neat if you WOULD get a blog. That's an awesome picture! I bet dirt is excellent insulation. Maybe that's what proverbs is talking about when it says it is better to live on the corner of the roof...

Well... I dont want to force you to get a blog... but it sure would be cool. Especially if you live in a distant land with a cool house. :) it would be a grand way to keep in touch:)

Thanks for the comments...

Christy: I'm not the kind of person that is convinced like this. When I feel like started a blog I will ;)

Alex: I think it would be quite economical. Adding flowers would also be a nice addition. As for cars on the roof I agree that would quite ruin the affect.

Jonathan: It is awesome!

John: I think it probably would be dark in there but who could possibly spend to much time inside with those hills behind the house? Look at the trail going up the hillside...

Kelsey: Yours definitely invokes a response. Are you hinting that you'd rather live under the corner of a roof than dwell in the same house with me?

Emily: You’re very perceptive. I will definitely get a blog when I’m living in a distant land someday.

allana! where have you been all day!!!??? (well, i kinda know the answer to this: clinicals, speech, skip orchestra, nursing test...) I'm just sad that I haven't seen your smiling face today :(

haha, and i would just like to point out that while this may have not been the best way to convince you to get a blog, at least it caused you to leave a LONG comment, something you don't do all that often either!!! :D :D

Great house, something I'd love to come home to every day. Besides, I've always enjoyed mowing lawns :)

Hmm... sounds like Barry wouldn't mind living on the roof.

Actually Allana, believe it or not, I was thinking that whoever engineered the house may have planned for that. I wasn't meaning to imply you. But, you can take it the way you want... lol.

Lana, I think it would not only be awesome to visit you and get to stay in a house like that, but it would also be awesome if you got a blog. No pressure, though. My words of wisdom would be just setting a time limit if you DO get a blog, so you don't waste too much time. :)
