Announcing my first Blog Recital! (Goals 6 & 7)
So.... to accomplish goals 6 and 7 (see post below), I am announcing a Blog Recital! Yep, you heard me right, a blog recital! Here's how it's going to work:
In order to motivate myself to practice piano and cello more during the next month, I am going to schedule a date and time when I will post videos of me performing a musical recital. I will perform two pieces, one for cello and one for piano. It's undecided at this point what the pieces will be. But anyhow, you can attend this recital simply by viewing my videos and leaving a nice comment. (Constructive comments written with tact will also be accepted.) Then, once you've finished watching the videos, make sure to attend the reception following which will consist of a yummy smoothie of your own making. (In other words, you then go make yourself a smoothie! :>)
P.S. This recital is not exclusive! If you also would like a reason to practice this summer, you can join in and perform as well. Just post a video to your blog on June 7 at 1900 hours. :)

That's a good idea. I had a list of things to do this summer too...I don't know how to post video blogs, though. I guess my recitals will have to be performed solely for my sheltie. Oh well. I think it's safer that way. ;)
What a creative idea! I love the reception idea. Perhaps, if you're feeling generous, you can lavish all your viewers with a detailed description of the smoothie you made after your recital. That way if we're too lazy to make our own we can live vicariously... ; )
your idea is already working. i was so inspired that i went ahead and made a smoothie tonite. a pre-recital reception ;) i made it with frozen peaches, a little coconut cream, a little frozen orange juice concentrate, and lots of silk. yum!
lol, kelsey, that would be funny. OR, I could do as my mom suggested and invite all my readers over to my house for smoothies. So then you could all come eat smoothies with me after having watched my recital on my blog! Of course, then it kinda seems a little ridiculous and rather pointless... lol
