The Great Graham Cracker Conundrum! (or... The GGCC!)

I have to say, I probably agree with your conclusion. But I am so glad we all have our different preferences: it breeds creativity. Or else we would probably all be eating something really boring. Like porridge. All the time.

Christy, you left out the lonely pineapple and garlic on your counter. Will you make a movie starring them next? and do i get a free sample of graham crackers after watching your cooking show? ;)

Ew I have to say I cringed the entire time you were drinking that awful slurpee thing if you will. I definitely have always been a supporter of the dipping method and your research has only reaffirmed my conclusions. I'd also like to point out that the dipping method is the only one where:
1. You are able to control the sogginess of each cracker precisely.
2. Your not rushed. There is no risk of choking. I for one like to enjoy my graham crackers slowly on the occasions that I do have them. The speed eating method is a bit off putting.
3. Your left with a nice glass of clean milk when your finished which can A. be saved for later B. be enjoyed as a drink. The bowl method leaves you with a partial slurpee as you near the end. I have heard of people who can eat a whole bowl of cereal in one gulp but I haven't met any yet.

In conclusion a very well conducted survey. I'm sure generations of children will thank you for your hard work. :P

Well, Andrew's method wasn't all bad. I did enjoy it more than I thought I would. Once you get past the mushy texture, it does have a rather nice flavor. However, I'm a big proponent of right texture with my food so it wasn't the right choice for me. I'm sure, however, that with a slightly different set of preferences, the slurpee method would be quite yummy! :)

And yes, I do agree with your conclusions about my bowl method. It does require that you eat it very hastily which detracts from the overall enjoyment and satisfaction of the snack.

Hmmm... wouldn't it be interesting to have an online science show where we all made videos of our projects? lol. haha, I must be missing school.

Weetabix present the same problem. Thanks to your research, I may start dipping them instead of eating from my bowl. The only problem is that weetabix have even less integrity when wet than graham crackers

You remind me of goldilocks. ;)Though I don't think I've ever had graham crackers with milk before, John's way does seem best, because then you can eat at a decent pace and don't lose the crunchiness either. So what are you going to test next?

Kelsey: Wow, porridge all the time, that would be.... ugh. But it sure would be a good lesson in how to be content in all things! Even with porridge day in and day out! Of course, if we had porridge all the time, than maybe we would be content just because we wouldn't know anything else existed!

Jen: Well, the pineapple will probably be eaten for supper today and that garlic... well, I was thinking of making a garlic and sun-dried tomato pasta sauce (kinda like the one we had at Macaroni Grill) sometime so that's what I'll probably use it for!

Barry: Yes, dipping might solve the problem. Maybe you could create some sort of a honey glaze mixture that hardens. Then you could cover the weetabix with that so it's not as flaky and then dip it in the milk. Voila! Yummy, honey, un-mushy weetabix! (Of course, that all depends on the honey glaze mixture that I just imagined which I have no idea how to make! lol)

Well honey is good even with mushy weetabix. I like the concept. My solutions always centered around some elaborate machine, and were so far fetched I never even tried construction (airplanes were child's play by comparison)

I have to say the only way to eat Graham crackers is with a smudgen of raspberry preserves... the milk is for afterwards ^_- It makes me feel really fancy for something totally cheap :P Just a tip for the more sophisticated Graham cracker partakers =D

I'm kinda late to add to this conversation, but I just want to agree that I also think John's way is best. Sogginess is NOT the way to go! When I was little I would eat my cereal dry, and now when I eat it, I just make sure I don't have anything to interrupt me after I put the milk into the bowl.
